“Private Law Advocacy Camp 2026: From Theory to Practice, Litigation and Hearing Experience” is held with the contributions of Bahçeşehir University’s Legal Professions Practice Unit (LPP) and GlobalB Law at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law, Beşiktaş Campus, from 30 October to 1 November 2026. Over three days, participants follow a case from start to finish.

30 October 2026, Friday, 17:00-20:00: Opening and introductions

• Introductions and forming of working groups

31 October 2026, Saturday, 10:00-20:00: Case preparation and civil procedure

1. Legal preparation and strategy before filing a case
2. Techniques for drafting an effective statement of claim
3. Evidence, burden of proof and pleading strategy
4. The written pleadings stage and preliminary examination
5. The investigation stage and case management
6. Judgment, litigation costs and legal remedies

Experience Speaks: Being a Lawyer. A conversation and Q&A with senior lawyers: Kardelen Yarlı, Umut Balcı, Kevser Öztürk and Merve Türkmen Kaplan.

Hands-on statement of claim workshop. Group work and case study analysis. Trainers: Uğursan Yiğit Parmaksız, Sima Baktaş, Serdar Akdeniz, Umut Balcı and Kevser Öztürk.

2. Review and evaluation of statements of claim
3. Preparing for the hearing simulation and assigning roles
4. Hearing Simulation I: Preliminary examination and investigation
5. Hearing Simulation II: Oral hearing and judgment
6. Trainer evaluations and feedback
