Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern the conditions relating to access to and use of the website located at www.globalblaw.com (the “Site”) operated by GlobalB Law Office (“GlobalB” or the “Office”). All visitors who access and use the Site shall be deemed to have declared that they have read and accepted these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the Site. The principles relating to the processing of your personal data during the use of the Site are explained in the Privacy Notice and the Cookie Policy published separately within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.

1. Changes to the Terms of Use

GlobalB reserves the right to update these Terms of Use unilaterally at any time. The updated Terms of Use enter into force as of the moment they are published on the Site. Each time you use the Site, you become subject to the Terms of Use in force at that moment; for this reason, we recommend that you review this text on each of your visits to the Site.

2. Union of Turkish Bar Associations Rules and the Prohibition of Advertising

The Site has been designed and prepared within the framework of the Attorneyship Law No. 1136, the regulations enacted pursuant to this Law, and the Professional Rules of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and the Advertising Prohibition Regulation of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, taking into account in particular the provisions prohibiting attorneys from advertising.

Accordingly, all information and materials on the Site are of a general informational nature intended solely for clients and relevant persons, not bearing any purpose of obtaining work. The content of the Site does not in any way pursue the purpose of advertising, procuring work or acquiring clients.

3. Informational Purpose and Absence of the Nature of Legal Advice

The information on the Site does not bear the nature of legal advice or opinion on any matter and is not of the nature of legal counsel. The use in any way of the Site or its content does not give rise to an attorney-client relationship between GlobalB and the visitor.

Visitors should always obtain professional and up-to-date legal opinion from their own legal advisors regarding their own circumstances, rights and obligations. GlobalB does not provide any guarantee that the information on the Site is accurate, complete and up to date.

4. Limitation of Liability

Without prejudice to the mandatory provisions of the applicable legislation and cases of intent and gross negligence, GlobalB is not liable for any damage that may arise from the content of the Site or from the acts or omissions carried out by visitors in reliance on the information and materials on the Site, and accepts no liability or obligation in this regard.

GlobalB does not undertake that the Site can be accessed in an uninterrupted, error-free or secure manner, or that the Site or the associated servers are free from viruses or harmful components. The risks arising from the use of the Site belong to the visitor.

5. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links directing visitors to other websites; similarly, third-party sites may also contain links directing to the Site. The Site may contain links to third-party websites solely for informational and source-attribution purposes. These links do not bear the purpose of obtaining work, directing visitors or advertising, and are not used in a manner contrary to the Attorneyship Law No. 1136 and the Advertising Prohibition Regulation of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations. GlobalB does not give or receive advertising in online media.

The websites to which links are provided are not under the control of GlobalB; GlobalB accepts no liability regarding the use of these links or the content of the third-party sites. The provision of links to third-party sites does not mean that GlobalB endorses the content or materials in question or is in any cooperation with these sites.

Third parties wishing to provide a link to the Site must make a request to obtain GlobalB’s prior written explicit approval and must agree to comply with the Office’s linking rules. GlobalB does not permit the provision of links to the Site of a nature that would create the impression of cooperation, mutual referral, recommendation/endorsement or advertising, and may at any time request the removal of links of such nature.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual and industrial property rights relating to the Site; all information, text, visuals, designs and materials on the Site, together with the GlobalB logo and trade name, belong exclusively to GlobalB. These may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used in any other way without the prior written explicit approval of GlobalB.

Visitors may not reproduce, display, modify or adapt the Site and/or any work or material on the Site, in whole or in part, for a fee or free of charge, without the prior written approval of GlobalB.

7. Permitted Personal Use

GlobalB permits visitors to download information that has been expressly made available for downloading, solely for personal and non-commercial purposes, to their personal devices in electronic format. In all citations made within this scope, the title of the document or of the web page from which it was accessed, the name of the author and (if known) the date of publication must be indicated.

8. Prohibited Uses

Visitors agree to refrain from the following conduct while using the Site:

• Using the Site for purposes contrary to the applicable legislation, public order or general morality
• Engaging in actions that threaten the security of the Site, place an excessive load on its infrastructure, or impede its operation
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Site or associated systems or uploading malicious software
• Collecting or copying Site content without permission using automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.)
• Producing or sharing content that infringes the rights of third parties or harms the reputation of GlobalB

9. Applicable Law and Competent Court

Turkish law applies to the interpretation and application of these Terms of Use. In the resolution of disputes that may arise from these terms, without prejudice to the mandatory jurisdiction rules of the Code of Civil Procedure and consumer legislation, the Istanbul (Çağlayan) Courts and Enforcement Offices have jurisdiction.
