About the Data Controller
As GlobalB Law Office (“GlobalB” or the “Office”), we process personal data in our capacity as data controller within the scope of the legal services we provide and the various business processes we conduct.
Within the framework of our activities, personal data processing activities are carried out during the visiting of our website, the attorney and legal advisory services provided to clients, job and internship applications, relationships maintained with business partners, and the events we organise/attend. In this context, the personal data of the following persons are processed: our clients together with their employees, representatives and advisors; the counterparties in legal proceedings and their related parties; the law firms, notary offices, tax advisory and audit firms with which we cooperate, together with their employees; candidates who submit job/internship applications; the employees of our suppliers and business partners; and website visitors and event participants.
As GlobalB, we attach importance to the confidentiality of personal data; we conduct our activities in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), the relevant secondary legislation, and the Attorneyship Law No. 1136.

Details of the Personal Data Processing Processes
Below, the categories of personal data processed, the purposes of processing, the legal grounds, and the principles of transfer are explained in respect of five distinct processes (A–E).
A. Website Visit
By means of www.globalblaw.com (the “Site”), we make use of cookies, pixels and similar technologies (“Cookies”) during your online visits and process your personal data in order to fulfil your requests.
When you visit our Site, technical data such as IP address, browser information, duration of visit and page views are automatically collected through cookies. For newsletter subscription, your identity and contact information together with your preferences are obtained directly from you through the subscription form. Your personal data may be transferred, limited to the purposes set out above and primarily for your benefiting from the Site and the ensuring of data security, to third parties from whom we receive support in the areas of storage, archiving and information technologies both domestically and abroad (server, hosting, software, cloud computing, content management, e-mail providers, etc.), to business partners and service providers, and to authorised institutions/organisations, within the framework of KVKK m. 8 and 9.
B. Attorneyship / Legal Advisory Service
GlobalB conducts its attorneyship and legal advisory activities in accordance with the Attorneyship Law No. 1136, the regulations of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and the rules of the profession, within the framework of the confidentiality and secrecy obligations specific to the profession. Information and documents obtained within the scope of the attorney–client relationship are kept confidential except in cases of the client’s explicit instruction or in cases provided for by law; this obligation continues even after the engagement has ended. The Office reflects these high standards of confidentiality in its personal data processing processes as well; it processes data lawfully and in accordance with the rules of good faith, for specific and legitimate purposes, in a proportionate manner, and protects it with appropriate technical/administrative measures.
In this context, the relevant persons whose personal data are processed are: our clients together with their employees, managers and members of their management bodies; their representatives and advisors; (potential) counterparties and their related parties; witnesses, expert witnesses and specialists; insurance company employees; the employees of courts and public institutions, as well as the employees of the domestic/foreign law firms with which we cooperate, the tax and audit advisors and other service providers.
Within the framework of the attorney–client relationship, your personal data are processed by automated and partially automated means through verbal, written and electronic channels (e-mail, telephone, online meeting tools, physical/digital files, UYAP, etc.) and are kept in physical and electronic archives.

Your personal data may be transferred, for the purposes of the provision of services, the conduct of client relationships and the fulfilment of legal/professional obligations and to the extent necessary, to: authorised public institutions and organisations, courts and judicial authorities; the domestic/foreign law firms with which we cooperate, notaries, tax advisory and audit firms; relevant service providers and banks within the scope of accounting, finance and payroll processes; cargo/courier providers; insurance companies and legal ranking organisations.
Within the scope of information technologies and security processes, personal data may be kept abroad depending on the systems of third parties from whom we receive services for the operation of our technical infrastructure; in such case, the transfer abroad is carried out in compliance with the conditions provided for in the relevant legislation and by taking the necessary technical/administrative measures. The transfer abroad is carried out, within the framework of KVKK m. 9 and the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding the Transfer of Personal Data Abroad, on the basis of an adequacy decision rendered by the Board where such a decision exists; in the absence of such a decision, by ensuring one of the appropriate safeguards set out in the fourth paragraph of Article 9 of the Law (such as a standard contract approved by the Board, binding corporate rules, or an undertaking and the Board’s authorisation); and, in the absence of these as well, only where one of the incidental circumstances enumerated in the sixth paragraph of the same article exists (for example, the existence of the explicit consent of the relevant person).
C. Job and Internship Applications
The personal data shared within the scope of job and internship applications made to GlobalB are processed in compliance with the relevant legislation, for the purposes of conducting, evaluating and finalising the application processes and human resources planning.
Your personal data are collected within the scope of recruitment processes, by automated or non-automated means, verbally, in writing or electronically, through the following channels:
- Applications made by e-mail to globalb@globalblaw.com
- Applications made through LinkedIn and similar career portals
- Through university and career events in which we participate
- Notes and evaluations taken during job interviews, together with employee/candidate references
In the event that you indicate a reference in your application, you shall be deemed to have accepted that we will contact the relevant persons for reference checking; that the informing of these persons has been carried out by you; and that the data have been transferred lawfully.

Your personal data may be transferred within the scope of recruitment processes, within the framework of the conditions provided for in KVKK m. 8 and 9 and only to the extent relevant to the process: (i) to third parties from whom support is received in the areas of human resources, storage, archiving and IT support (server, hosting, cloud, e-mail) and security, (ii) to the relevant reference persons in the event that you provide references, (iii) abroad within the scope of KVKK m. 9 in the event that the systems of the service providers are located abroad.
D. Business Partners
The personal data belonging to the natural person representatives and legal entity officials of business partners, suppliers, advisors and other third parties having a business relationship with GlobalB are processed for the purposes of the establishment, conduct and management of business relationships and the fulfilment of contractual obligations and obligations arising from the legislation.

Personal data may be transferred within the scope of the conduct of business relationships, in compliance with KVKK m. 8 and 9 and limited only to the relevant process, to: the law firms, advisors and service providers with which we cooperate; relevant providers and banks within the scope of accounting, finance, audit and tax processes; third parties providing IT infrastructure/support services (server, hosting, software, cloud, e-mail); organisations providing physical security services; and authorised public institutions and judicial authorities as required by the legislation. In the event that the systems of the service providers are located abroad, the transfer is carried out pursuant to KVKK m. 9.
E. Event Processes
The personal data belonging to participants within the scope of events, seminars, conferences and similar organisations organised or attended by GlobalB are processed for the purposes of the planning and conduct of events and communication activities.
Your personal data are collected, in the event that you take part in events as a participant or speaker, in physical/electronic media by e-mail, through participation forms, and by means of taking photographs/video recordings during the event.

At our events, in order to protect your data, photographs are taken from the rear as far as possible. In addition, after being informed verbally, photographs may also be taken from the front for the purpose of providing information about the event on online platforms, including social media.
Your personal data may be transferred, within the framework of KVKK m. 8 and 9, to IT infrastructure/support service providers for the purpose of incorporating your identity and contact information into our information systems and conducting event processes; within the scope of postings on the Office’s website and social media accounts in the event that you appear in images taken after being informed in advance; and, upon request, to authorised public institutions/organisations, in a manner that also covers transfer abroad.
Rights of the Relevant Person
Within the scope of Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to the data controller, you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data are processed and, if so, to request information regarding this
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data are used in accordance with that purpose
- Know the third parties to whom the data are transferred, domestically or abroad
- Request that the data be corrected if processed incompletely or incorrectly, and that this be notified to the third parties to whom the data have been transferred
- Request that the data be deleted/destroyed if the reasons requiring processing have ceased to exist, and that this be notified to the third parties
- Object to a result arising against you as a consequence of the analysis exclusively by automated systems
- Request the remedying of the damage in the event that you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.
Your personal data are kept by GlobalB with great care within the framework of information security standards. You may prepare your requests within the scope of this article in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller and convey them to the address Dikilitaş Mah.
