Law in the Age of AI (Aizec, “AI: From Individuals to Industries”)

Aizec Yazılım ve Bilişim hosted “Bireyden Sektörlere Yapay Zekâ” (AI: From Individuals to Industries) at Mercure İstanbul Ümraniye Hotel on 6 October 2026: a full-day programme on how artificial intelligence is changing individuals, businesses and sectors, with speakers from technology, finance, education and law.

In her session “Law in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: New Rules, Risks and Responsibilities in Türkiye and Around the World” (14:00-14:20), Sima Baktaş reviewed recent legal developments around AI and the regulatory frameworks taking shape in Türkiye and globally. Starting from a USD 25 million deepfake fraud, she addressed the question of who bears the loss when AI is used to cause harm, and the new risks and responsibilities businesses need to consider.
