Cisil Yagmur Derya is GlobalB Law's legal advisor with regard to maritime and energy law. Derya completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Westminster and obtained her Masters from Swansea University. She specializes in martine law issues pertaining to P&I Club and shipbroking. Derya practices law in the United Kingdom.

At GlobalB Law, she advises ship owners, charterer, oil companies and insurers. Her experience covers both wet and dry shipping matters, with a particular emphasis on disputes relating to bills of lading, charterparties, cargo claims, admiralty liabilities (ship arrest and enforcement of claims) and contracts in oil and gas sectors. Derya undertakes drafting standard amendments for charter parties, COA’s, ship management agreements and pool agreements. She is able to assist her clients by harmonizing his knowledge both in common law and civil law on dispute resolution, recognition of foreign court decisions and arbitral awards, commercial contracts and projects. In addition, she provides professional charterparty workshops and trainings.
